Jeff Kuras founded Jeff Kuras Excavating in 1981, building the business from the ground up with a strong work ethic, a passion for machinery, and a deep commitment to serving his local community. Jeff discovered his love for excavation at a young age while working alongside his father, and by the age of 17, he had already invested in his first dump truck, trailer, and equipment—marking the beginning of his journey as a business owner. What began as a one-man operation has grown into a trusted, multi-service company proudly serving northwest Ohio.
Today, the business is led by Jeff’s son, Justin Kuras, who has taken over operations and brought a fresh vision to the company while honoring its strong family roots. Under Justin’s leadership, the company has expanded its services, modernized its equipment, and improved operational efficiency to better meet the evolving needs of residential, commercial, and municipal clients. As part of this growth, Justin also launched Kuras Aeration Systems, a dedicated division focused on septic system maintenance, portable restrooms, and sewer and drain cleaning. Together, Jeff and Justin have built a legacy of dependable service, and with Justin at the helm, Team Kuras continues to provide quality solutions built on decades of experience and a commitment to community.
